Blue Coconut 1.01 is out. This is a minor update to shared track downloads for compatibility with recent versions of iTunes.
Oh, you want more of an entry than an Apple-esque release note? Well, the 4.7 upgrade last week was pretty good to me, as the change required was a pretty trivial AppleScript fix, rather than something deep and dark in the iTunes sharing protocol, which would have stymied me until clever minds fixed the underlying libraries. It is a bit of an odd change to have made, but still, easy enough to work around, and thankfully it's also compatible back to older versions iTunes, from what I've seen so far.
Meanwhile, I've been getting a few notes of thanks (as well as pointers to a rather nasty problem that's affected a few users, which I have a good idea how to fix, once I get time), which are always welcome, and which encourage me to actually keep maintainence of the application up. So thanks to anyone who's been in touch.
I've also mentioned on the spool the mysterious DACP, which may or may not be to do with funky remote control or display devices from Apple. It's proving tricky to get further in figuring out what's going on, but I'm certainly still intruiged.
