Odd how a half year old magazine, that I was introduced to by Jen half a year ago, should come up now, twice. Firstly, Railtrack runs out of cash and is effectively renationalised, then another prong of the 'war against terrorism' starts, and Tony Blair mentions the little known island of Diego Garcia in his speech to the nation.
The connection? Both are the subject of articles in Issue 73 of Granta, a literary magazine published, oh, six times a year?
Strange pre-echoes of strange times.
