Waking early after the 2lmc party, I decided to follow the London Marathon's progress through London. I walked through the City to Tower Hill, then along the Highway - where I saw Paula Radcliffe heading both out, and back in to the city - towards Canaary Wharf, then cut across the mouth of the route to the inbound portion at Westferry Circus, which has great views back eastwards, towards the City.

By the time I made it along to 1 Canada Square, the mass of runners had started passing by, and I decided to skip via tube to Bermondsey, from whence I followed the route up to Tower Bridge, then took a shortcut to follow the rest of the route from the Tower to Buckingham Palace.

I think I worked out that I walked ten miles in five or six hours, and it nearly killed me. My respect for the people who actually run the entire twenty-six miles - in less time - jumped another notch. However, I seem not to have many pictures of them. Oops.
