mattw is reading mcluhan

i just read a precis of the work of Marx and am now rather fascinated by what it claims he propounds in 'Capital'

zool: In Capital ,Marx sees instability increasing until finally the system comes tumbling down. His reasoning involves two further, very important prognoses for the system. The first is that the size of business firms will steadily increase as the consequence of the recurrent crises that rock the economy.

zool: "The centralisation of the means of production and the socialisation of labour reach a point at which they become incompatible with their capitalist integument. This integument is burst asunder."

zool: cause and effect in a climate of distrust, i wonder

zool: here is the marx and engels internet archive
